_Inspired by the likes of the Latin Rascals, Shep Pettibone and
Australia's own Robert Racic, Paul first started by editing and splicing
music using a reel to reel tape. In 1991 he was asked to do a re-edit
of an obscure Pet Shop Boys track "Miserabilism" for Hot Tracks, a DJ
service label based in San Francisco. That was the beginning of a list
of over 250 remixes and re-edits Paul created for DJ service labels such
as Rhythm Stick, Discotech, EuroTracks, OzzMix, Direct Hit, DMC Records and his own
successful ACE DJ remix service.
These days his mixes are no longer created on tape reels and Paul has been producing full studio productions since the late 90's. In addition to founding his own record labels “Ace DJ Remix Service” and “Tomcat Music”, Paul has contributed to BMG, Universal, Sony Music, Central Station Records, DMC, Centaur Music, Vapour Recordings, FFRR, Direct Hit, D1 Music and more. Paul’s credits include remixes for singers such as Whitney Houston, Toni Braxton, Linda Clifford, Taylor Dayne, and Ultra Naté. On the production front Paul recently recorded “Love so Strong” with John Le Page and Peyton (available on Groove Records) and recent notable remixes include Ralphi Rosario & Wayne G Featuring Stewart Who? – “BITCH”, John Le Page and Debby Holiday “Catch a Fire” and “Take Me Higher”, B Angie B’s “After the Sex” and Kimberley Davis’ “Twist of Love”. His tracks are not only critically acclaimed, but they are commercial smash hits. In 2008 Kristine W’s “The Boss” remixed by Paul reached number 1 on the Billboard Club Play chart. Since 2001 Paul’s remixes have appeared in the Top 20 Billboard Club Play chart on numerous occasions. Production collaborations include the "Lifestylus" project with Melbourne's house producer Nathan G which lead to 9 original tracks, most notably "Spinnin" released on Vapour Recordings. Paul has also co-written with legendary Sydney DJ / producer Stephen Allkins AKA Love Tattoo including 5 tracks for the LP 'Body Work' and with disco legend Rick Gianatos to bring out new material by Disco Divas Linda Clifford and Pattie Brooks. His production of the Sylvester classic 'Take Me To Heaven' appeared on the hit series 'Queer as Folk' and has been remixed by Almighty Records. August 2011 saw the launch of Goodyear's new digital record label 'Goodyear Muzik'. Showcasing the best in electronic dance music, the first release on the label was a re-make of "Outlaw" (The classic was originally sung by Olive and now features Caroline Lund) and an original Progressive House Stormer titled “Heavenly Angels”. _
In keeping with his motto "Variety is the Spice of Life" Paul is also in the planning stages of another label focusing on the Deep and Gospel House sound - Mighty Real Music. Stay tuned for updates! | ![]() _Selected Discography
